Physical DescriptionPhotographic portrait of Dr. Alberto Lleras, former president of Colombia. Color with white mat. Enclosed in (B) silver frame with overall engraved scroll-like design and beveled inner edge.
Inscriptions and MarkingsHandwritten on white mat across the bottom: "Para el senor Presidente Lyndon B. Johnson, Cordialmente” [Translation: “For Mr. President Lyndon B. Johnson, Cordially”] “Septiembre de 1966” [Translation: “September 1966”]. Stamped at side: “Korentin”. Stamped at side: “Bogota”.
Historical NoteAlberto Lleras was the President of Colombia from 1958-1962 and founded the Organization of American States (OAS).

Custodial History NoteThis item was a gift from a foreign official to President Lyndon B. Johnson during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives on January 1969 for deposit with the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.
