Physical DescriptionBronze coin dated to Hebrew King Herod Agrippa I. The obverse of the coin shows an umbrella-like canopy with fringes and Greek text. The reverse of the coin shows three ears of barley and leaves.
Historical NoteThis coin was part of a set of Roman Judea (Ancient Hebrew) coins presented to President Johnson by Prime Minister Levi Eshkol of Israel during an official visit to the LBJ Ranch on January 7-8, 1968. This coin was minted during the reign of King Herod Agrippa I, who was the grandson of Herod the Great.

Custodial History NoteThis item was a gift from a foreign official to President Lyndon B. Johnson during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives on January 1969 for deposit with the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.
