Historical NoteThis silver pitcher is part of a beverage service given to President and Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson by His Excellency Aldo Moro, President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic, and Mrs. Moro. It was delivered to President Johnson by messenger from the Italian Embassy on December 20, 1965.

Custodial History NoteThis item was a gift from a foreign official to President Lyndon B. Johnson during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives on January 1969 for deposit with the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.
