Physical DescriptionBracelet with matching earrings (PP.27.2) comprised of ten square links hinged together; each link has two silver quadrants in tiger eye jade, one red and one green. Tension clasp with post on the insert. Sramped on the back "Las Rastillo Taxco" with an Aztec head and "Hecho en Mexico" is below.
Historical NoteThis bracelet, and matching earrings, were a pre-presidential gift to Lady Bird Johnson from Mrs. Eva Lopez Mateos, the wife of President Adolfo Lopez Mateos of Mexico.

Custodial History NoteThis item was a gift from a foreign official to Vice-President Lyndon B. Johnson during the Kennedy Administration. It was received through the Executive Office and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives on January 1969 for deposit with the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.
