Physical DescriptionBrooch. Gold-tone yellow/green/orange enameled daisy with stem. Hinged pin with safety catch.
Historical NoteThis daisy brooch was given to Lady Bird Johnson in 1968 during her visit to the 1968 World’s Fair in San Antonio. Attached to the brooch was a certificate of honorary membership to the Inter-American Library for her and President Johnson. The daisy was the emblem of the library.
Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson personally, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1970.
