Physical DescriptionOpenwork armlet consisting of an openwork band interspersed gold filigree spirals arranged in a zig-zag with four acute angles.
Historical NoteThis armlet was given to Lady Bird Johnson by His Excellency William V.S. Tubman, President of the Republic of Liberia during an official visit to the White House on March 27, 1968.

Custodial History NoteThis item was a gift from a foreign official to First Lady Lady Bird Johnson during the Johnson Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives on January 1969 for deposit with the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.
