Copy of petition of the National Women's Suffrage Association to Congress (1873) requesting the right to vote, superimposed over an image of Susan B. Anthony. Adhered at top is a 6c "Woman Suffrage" "50th Anniversary" stamp. Adhered at bottom is a 3c "Suffrage for Women" "Susan B. Anthony" stamp. Both stamps postmarked at: "Adams, MA" - Aug 26, 1970.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson personally, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1970.
