Physical DescriptionGold and sapphire pendant. An oval-shaped cabachon star sapphire, placed in a stylized gold flame patterned setting. Hanging loop and ring attached.
Historical NoteLady Bird Johnson received this sapphire pendant as a gift while visiting a lapidary in Bangkok, Thailand during the 1966 Asian trip.
Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson personally, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1970.
