Physical DescriptionOne of a set of 3 similar rings (1964.37.6 A-C): blister pearl set in a gold ring with gold bezel and an openwork geometric design in wire on the sides of the band. Presented in a carved wood box (1964.37.11).
Historical NoteThe set of three rings was given to President Lyndon Baines Johnson and Lady Bird Johnson and her daughters by His Excellency Diosdado P. Macapagal, President of the Philippines, during an official White House visit on October 5, 1964. The Philippines is the source some of the world's largest freshwater pearls.

Custodial History NoteThis item was a gift from a foreign official to First Daughter Lynda Johnson Robb during the Johnson Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives on January 1969 for deposit with the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.
