Physical DescriptionSilver bowl with repousse "seashell" and floral motif in bands around the bowl. Laotian crest of a tri-headed elephant engraved on the center bottom.
Historical NoteThis bowl was a gift from Crown Prince Vong Savang and Princess Manilay of Laos. The Laotian Prime Minister Souvanna Phouma visited Washington D.C. on October 20-21, 1967.

Custodial History NoteThis item was a gift from a foreign official to President Lyndon B. Johnson during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives on January 1969 for deposit with the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.
