Physical DescriptionPhysical DescriptionWhite enameled oval-shaped metal box with a hinged lid. Lid top has a black and sepia drawing of two birds on a branch. Inscribed on the lid: "Love for love". Two sepia patterned borders. Mirror inside lid. The base depicts a drawing of a man fishing and a dog catching a rabbit.
Historical NoteThis item was a gift from the Engelhard family. Charles W. Engelhard Sr. founded the Engelhard mining company in 1902. His son, Charles W. Engelhard Jr. grew the company and befriended politicians such as Lyndon Johnson.Additional Details
