Physical DescriptionFull sheet of fifty 4c Project Mercury stamps. Selvage edges present on all sides. Plate block number: "27066". The reverse side of the sheet has a black and white picture of LBJ.
Historical NoteThis full sheet of fifty 4c Project Mercury stamps was issued in February 20, 1962, the same day as John Glenn's orbit of the Earth in Friendship 7.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson personally, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1970.
