Physical DescriptionPhysical DescriptionWristwatch. Brushed silver face w/ gold numerals, calendar window & second hand. Gold case engraved on back: "(LBJ) Jan 14, 1964 from the two-boy tennis teams of 30 nations." Black reptile band w/ gold tone buckle. Appears to have been worn by LBJ.
Historical NoteThis watch was given to President Johnson in the White House during a meeting with tennis players from 30 different nations. The athletes were in the United States for the Orange Bowl Championship in Florida.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson personally, until the President donated it to the LBJ Presidential Library in 1970.
