Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. LBJ comes out of the shower to find a man ("White House Sit-In") in the hallway singing "We shall not be moved…". Caption: “Most Embarassing Moment”. Artist signature lower left: "Bob Howie”. A small piece of paper “Jackson Daily News” adhered to lower left.
Historical NoteOn March 11, 1965, twelve people held a sit-in in the White House to protest Bloody Sunday and police brutality against activists in Selma, Alabama.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
