Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. A rolled paper with Eisenhower's face ("Administration Program") leaves the dentist's office ("Extractions") holding his jaw. The dentist is a donkey ("Demo. Congress"). Caption: “Not So Bad, After All”. Artist signature lower right: "Art Bimrose”.
Inscriptions and MarkingsHandwritten across the bottom: "To Lyndon Johnson, my very best wishes, Art Brimrose".
Historical NoteDuring his presidency, Dwight Eisenhower worked across party lines with Democrats. For most of his term, the Senate Majority Leader was Lyndon Johnson and the Speaker of the House was Sam Rayburn, another Democrat from Texas.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
