Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing (A) with mat (B). A man ("Tex") holds a paper ("The Record of Senator Lyndon B. Johnson") and pats LBJ on the shoulder. He says, "Well, Lyndon, this looks like you're in for six more years of hard work!". Caption on the mat reads: "One Good Term Deserves Another". Artist signature lower right: "Sam Nash."

Historical NoteWhen this cartoon was made, Senator Lyndon Johnson was the Senate Minority Leader. In 1954, Lyndon Johnson was elected to his second term in the Senate.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
