Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. Lady Bird speaks to LBJ who sits in front of his television sets with a newspaper. A small piece of paper “Berry’s World” adhered to upper left. Caption: “Would It Be in the National Interest to Take Me to a Movie Tonight?”. Artist signature lower right: "Jim Berry 7-20-67”.
Inscriptions and MarkingsHandwritten across the bottom: [blue] "For President Johnson with my very best wishes - Jim Berry".
Historical NoteLady Bird was heavily involved as First Lady. During the 1964 election, she campaigned for President Johnson in her Lady Bird Special charter train in the south. She also promoted the Highway Beautification Act and other beautification initiatives around the country.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon B Johnson Presidential Library in 1973.
