Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. LBJ, in a hat ("San Salvador's Big Welcome"), runs on the globe (“U.S.A.” to “Central America”) to a meeting ("Central American President's Meeting") with a bag ("$65 Million Aid for Economic Integration") tossing coins with his hand ("Loan Offer"). A man with an American flag and a man with a sign (“Get out of Vietnam”) run up. Caption: “It's All a Matter to Give!”. Artist signature lower right: "Shevchik”.

Historical NoteIn July 1968, Johnson went to San Salvador and spoke with the leaders of Nicaragua, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon B Johnson Presidential Library in 1973.
