Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. LBJ tips his hat to a man as they stand on top of a huge hat ("Latin Summit"). A small piece of paper “Copley Newspapers” adhered to lower right. Caption: “Saludos Amigos!”. Artist signature lower right: "Bob Stevens”.
Inscriptions and MarkingsHandwritten at center left: "To our President with best wishes -- Bob Stevens”.
Historical NoteIn April 1967, Lyndon Johnson met with the heads of state in Latin America in Punta del Este, Uruguay, promising financial support to other nations in the Americas.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon B Johnson Presidential Library in 1973.
