Historical NoteIn this cartoon, Lyndon Johnson and Canadian Prime Minister Lester Pearson watch a series of border skirmishes and rising tensions between Israel and Syria and Egypt. In June 1967, fighting would break out between Israel and Syria, Jordan, and Egypt.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
