Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. LBJ drives a convertible on a narrow mountainous road. He turns around to talk to Richard Nixon in the back seat. Caption: “I'm Still Driving and Don't You Forget It!”. Artist signature lower left: "Morgan Herald-Journal”.
Historical NoteRichard Nixon won the 1968 presidential election. On January 20, 1969, he was inaugurated as president and Lyndon Johnson left office. Nixon inherited the Vietnam War and its peace talks.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon B Johnson Presidential Library in 1973.
