Inscriptions and MarkingsHandwritten at lower right: [blue] "With all best wishes to President Johnson - John Milt Morris". Handwritten at lower right: “4/22/67”.
Historical NoteAfter World War II, economic prosperity led to an increase in mail volume, making the postal system very costly. The postal office did not have enough infrastructure to handle all the mail people wanted to send.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon B Johnson Presidential Library in 1973.
