Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. An elephant and a donkey look into crystal balls on a map ("Ohio 1964 Presidential Campaign"). The elephant, seeing nothing, talks to the donkey, who smiles as he sees LBJ. Caption: “My Picture's Not Clear! How's Yours?”. Artist signature lower right: "L.D. Warren”.
Inscriptions and MarkingsHandwritten at lower center: [blue] “33 ½ picas” “Sat 4 Jan 64” “Enquirer Only!”.
Historical NoteDuring the 1964 election cycle, the Democratic Party was mostly united under Lyndon B. Johnson. Meanwhile, since Richard Nixon decided not to run in 1964, the Republican Party was divided between the conservative Barry Goldwater and liberal Nelson Rockefeller.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon B Johnson Presidential Library in 1973.
