Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. Two men talk as they watch a man drive LBJ through a gate. One of them has long hair and a beard and the other is smoking. Both are dressed in black. A small piece of paper “Berry’s World” adhered to upper left. Caption: “As a Matter of Fact--Show Me ANYBODY Who Is 'Somebody' and I'll Show You a 'Credibility Gap!'”. Artist signature lower right: "Jim Berry 2-2-67”.
Inscriptions and MarkingsHandwritten across the bottom: [blue] "For President Johnson: With friendship and best regards, Jim Berry".
Historical NoteThe credibility gap refers to the public skepticism about the Vietnam War due to a gap in what the Johnson administration officially told the public and what seemed to be true.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon B Johnson Presidential Library in 1973.
