There is an impression on the bed made by someone sitting on it. Caption: “No, He Doesn't Sleep in It--He Sits on It”. Artist signature lower right: "De Alba”.

Historical NoteIn many cartoons, Lyndon Johnson is compared to Abraham Lincoln due to their role in civil rights and for being president during a time of division.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon B Johnson Presidential Library in 1973.
