Historical NoteLyndon Johnson worked very long days, from 7am-2pm, and then from 4pm-9pm. The Johnson Administration submitted 87 bills to Congress, and Johnson signed 84, or 96%, arguably the most successful legislative agenda in US congressional history. This amount of legislation required a lot of time and energy.
