Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. Two men ("Unions", "Railroads") sit at a table glancing up at LBJ. LBJ says, "Oh, don't mind me!" and turns away from the table, but he holds a large club ("Legislation") behind his back. Caption: “Just Go Ahead with Your Work!”. Artist signature lower left: "Morris”.
Inscriptions and MarkingsHandwritten at lower right: "To President Johnson-John Milt Morris".
Historical NoteIn April 1964, President Johnson ended a 5-year dispute over railroad industry, giving a raise to about half of the workers in the union as well as other benefits and averting a strike.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
