Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. LBJ speaks to a startled man (identifiable as Robert McNamara) who holds a pointer to a wall map showing troop movements and battles in Vietnam. A fancy door is behind LBJ. A small piece of paper “© 1967, Chicago’s American” adhered to lower left. Caption: “Maybe You're Right, Mr. McNamara--But My Future Son-In-Law Thinks That We Should–”. Artist signature lower left: "Stayskal".
Historical NoteOn December 9, 1967, Lynda Bird Johnson and Chuck Robb got married in the White House. Robb was a Marine Captian that served in Vietnam. Robert McNamara was the Secretary of Defense.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
