Physical DescriptionRectangular 14K yellow gold belt buckle with curved outline. Centered "LBJ" outlined ornate openwork script within an engraved floral border. Presented duing the Punta del Este meeing in Uruguay April 1967.
Historical NoteThis “LBJ” belt buckle was given to President Johnson by His Excellency Marco A. Robles, President of the Republic of Panama on April 12, 1967, during the Latin American Summit Conference in Punta del Este, Uruguay.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a foreign official to the President, First Lady or member of the First Family during President Johnson's term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives on January 20, 1969 for deposit with the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.
