Physical DescriptionGold-tone tie tack set with 1902 Indianhead penny. Alligator clip back.
Historical NoteThis Indianhead penny tie bar was given to President Johnson by a constituent. The Indianhead penny was produced from 1859 to 1909. It was replaced by the familiar Lincoln penny.
Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
