Physical DescriptionGold ring. Gold ring with bas-relief seal of Ewha Women's University. The seal has a pagoda in the middle with text around the edge: "[indecipherable] 1886 [indecipherable] 1945" "Ewha W.U.".
Inscriptions and MarkingsInside inscribed [in Korean]: "[indecipherable]","66.11.1", "9.375". Stamped with unknown maker marks.
Historical NoteThis ring was given to Lady Bird Johnson by the President of Ewha Womans University in Seoul, Korea. President and Lady Bird Johnson were in Seoul for their 1966 Asia Trip in November 1966.
Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson personally, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1970.
