Robert H. Goddard

United States, 1882 - 1945
Goddard was an American engineer, professor, physicist and inventor credited with creating the world’s first liquid-fueled rocket which was successfully launched March 16, 1926. An American, he was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal in 1959. He is considered the father of modern rocketry.
