From 1913 to 1921, Thomas Woodrow Wilson served two terms as the 28th President of the United States. Wilson had served as Princeton University's president and New Jersey's governor before being elected president in 1912. Wilson played a key role in the creation of the League of Nations, and won a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts in 1919.
