Mario "Cantinflas" Moreno Reyes was a popular Mexican comedian widley known for his stage persona and wordplay. Caniflas rose to prominence in the 1940s and 1950s, acting in dozens of films both locally and internationally. In 1961, Cantiflas traveled alongside Vice President Lydon B. Johnson to campaign for Henry B. Gonzales, the democratic nominee in Texas' U.S. Representative election.
