Frances P. Bolton

U.S. Representive from Ohio (1939–1969)

Francis P. Bolton was elected to the United States House of Representatives after her husband, Chester Bolton, left a vacany in 1939. Bolton was re-elected in 1940 and served fourteen consecutive terms until 1969. Throughout her career, Bolton worked on programs aimed at improving access to nursing, healthcare, and education.
