Raymond Gary

United States, 1908 - 1993
He held office in Oklahoma as a state senator during the 1940s until being elected governor of Oklahoma in 1956. He is noted as desegregating the Oklahoma state capitol’s restrooms and pushing the state to comply with the 1954 Brown v. the Board of Education decision.
