Mzee Jomo Kenyatta

Kenya
He was a Kenyan anti-colonial activist and later served as Prime Minister of Kenya from 1963-64 and then became president in 1964 until his death in 1978. He was instrumental in Kenya’s transformation from a British colony to an independent republic.
