Physical DescriptionPrint reproduction of cartoon drawing. German clipping. LBJ rides a horse and looks across water. The men on the other side of the water hold a banner with the face of a man (identifiable as Fidel Castro) and carry guns. Two ships are in the water. A small piece of paper “25.I.64.(T)” adhered to lower right. Caption: “Swchwierige Hürde für den Hindernisreiter aus Texas [Difficult Obstacles for the Barrier Rider from Texas]”. Historical NoteIn 1962, President Kennedy placed a full embargo on Cuba, while President Johnson later tried to get other American countries to join in on the embargo. Meanwhile, many European countries continued to trade with Cuba.
