Physical DescriptionPhotographic portrait of Prime Minister Harold Wilson of the United Kingdom. Black and white with white mat. Enclosed in (B) plain silver frame. Green plush back with brass rings. Artist signature at lower right: [illegible].
Inscriptions and MarkingsHandwritten on white mat across the bottom: "To President Lyndon B. Johnson with esteem and warm regards”. Stamped at the top: “Made in England” and four hallmarks.
Historical NoteBritish Prime Minister Harold Wilson visited Washington D.C. in December 7-8, 1964 to discuss the American-proposed Multilateral Force (MLF) and the British-proposed Atlantic Nuclear Force (ANF), both of which were proposed NATO military forces.

Custodial History NoteThis item was a gift from a foreign official to President Lyndon B. Johnson during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives on January 1969 for deposit with the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.
