Physical DescriptionBracelet from a 5-piece matching jewelry set. String of 7 linked brilliant-cut amethysts, with 6 white gold cut-out petal-shaped links at each end. Hinged clasp stamped "PM" with oriental characters.
Historical NoteThis bracelet is part of a 5-piece matching set given to Lady Bird Johnson by His Excellency Chung Hee Park, President of the Republic of Korea on May 17th, 1965, during a state visit to Washington, D.C.

Custodial History NoteThis item was a gift from a foreign official to First Lady Lady Bird Johnson during the Johnson Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives on January 1969 for deposit with the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.
