Physical DescriptionBrooch. A silver roadrunner that has a body comprised of set polished stones (turquoise, tiger eye, coral). A hinged pin with safety catch is attached on the back.
Historical NoteIn September 1966, Lady Bird Johnson embarked on a four-day beauty and conservation tour through California, Arizona, and New Mexico documented in a movie called "Faces of the West." This roadrunner brooch was made by the Zuni Tribal Band of New Mexico and given to Lady Bird during the tour.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson personally, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1970.
