Historical NoteThis enamel flame pendant was given to Lady Bird Johnson by the State University of New York at Buffalo after an October, 1965 visit to the campus. She made the trip to Buffalo to plant a linden tree on the campus and give a luncheon speech to the Associated Press Managing Editors.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson personally, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1970.
