Physical DescriptionOlympic logo dangle earrings with crossed bas-relief 1968 Olympic logos hanging by a chain from half silver ball. Screw back.
Historical NoteThese earrings were given via the State Department to President Johnson by his Excellency Gustavo Diaz Ordaz, President of the United Mexican States. Among a large gift of souvenirs collected for President Johnson during the 1968 Mexico Olympics.

Custodial History NoteThis item was a gift from a foreign official to President Lyndon B. Johnson during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives on January 1969 for deposit with the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.
