Physical DescriptionContemporary silver earrings with single piece of yellow-green antique glass, set against a crescent-shaped array of rectangular silver pieces; Screw backing. Part of matching jewelry set (1968.1.12 A-C).
Historical NoteThese earrings were part of a matching jewelry set presented personally to Lady Bird Johnson by Miriam Eshkol, wife of His Excellency Levi Eshkol, Prime Minister of Israel during a head of state visit to the LBJ Ranch in Texas in January, 1968.

Custodial History NoteThis item was a gift from a foreign official to First Lady Lady Bird Johnson during the Johnson Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives on January 1969 for deposit with the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.
