Physical DescriptionPhysical DescriptionPendant. Open dome-shaped setting with eight varied-colored teardrop-shaped stones forming a star. Centered tiny brilliant-cut clear stone surrounded by eight very little clear stones. Eight additional brilliant stones between the points of the star. Brilliant-cut clear stone in the hanging loop.
Historical NoteThis rhinestone pendant was given to Lady Bird Johnson in Thailand during the 1966 tour of Asian nations. A Thai supporter passed along the pendant and a note wishing “best wishes for you and your country.”Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
