Physical DescriptionPendant. Floral-design oval carved green jade on an openwork gold frame. Hanging loop. Undecipherable rectangular jeweler's stamp on back.
Historical NoteThis jade pendant is part of a ring and pendant set given to Lady Bird Johnson by a Dallas constituent. It was given in December 1963, just a month after the assassination of John F. Kennedy in Dallas.
Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
