Physical DescriptionPair of candelabra in gold-plated sterling silver. Each has three arms joined at the bottom in a triangular cross-section set with 4 cabachon opals, and three feet.
Historical NoteThis pair of candleabra was given to President and Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson from The Right Honorable Harold Edward Holt, Prime Minister of Australia, and Mrs. Holt on June 2, 1967, during a state visit to Washington, D.C.

Custodial History NoteThis item was a gift from a foreign official to President Lyndon B. Johnson and First Lady Lady Bird Johnson during the Johnson administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives on January 1969 for deposit with the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.
