Physical DescriptionRing with a large polished amber mounted in handmade unornamented silver bezel. Wide band. No markings.
Historical NoteThis ring was given to Lynda Johnson Robb by Mrs. Levi Eshkol, wife of His Excellency Levi Eshkol, Prime Minister of Israel, during an official visit to the White House on June 1, 1964. Amber occurs in a range of different colors, usually yellow or brown. Red amber is rare and highly sought-after.

Custodial History NoteThis item was a gift from a foreign official to First Daughter Lynda Johnson Robb during the Johnson Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives on January 1969 for deposit with the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.
