Physical DescriptionLBJ Special Cancellation Postcard. The cachet on the envelope is a portrait of LBJ and the Presidential Seal. Cachet text: "The Great Society". Two stamps adhered at upper right: 4 1/2c White House stamp. Postmarked at: Washington DC - Nov 14, 1967.
Inscriptions and MarkingsAt center: "Ellsworth Bunker", "W.C. Westmoreland". On reverse handwritten across bottom: "date of special White House Conference on the Viet Nam War. Bunker and Westmoreland attend."
Historical NoteLBJ Great Society postcard postmarked on November 14, 1967 commemorating a White House conference on the Vietnam War. Signed by Ellsworth Bunker and General Westmoreland.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson personally, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1970.
