Inscriptions and MarkingsHandwritten at center: "John Connally".
Historical NoteLBJ Great Society postcard postmarked on January 20, 1969 to mark the occasion of President Johnson’s last morning as President of the United States. Richard Nixon was sworn in as President of the United States at noon that day. Signed by John Connally.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson personally, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1970.
